Tal Chhapar Wildlife Sanctuary
It is located in Churu district in the northwestern part Shekawati. At the edge of Great Indian Desert, this amazing sanctuary is situated. It is homage for several wildlife species and birds. It also resembles savannah. One can find an endangered antelope species called black buck here. Inside the sanctuary there are many small streams and ponds are found which enthralls the visitors. Trees are very less here. Most of the lands are grasslands. Visitors can find some migratory birds including harriers, sand grouses, demoiselle cranes, patridges, short toed eagles, blue ibis, tawny eagles, imperial eagles and many more. It is also a home for edible grass known as Mothiya. Good accommodation is provided by department of forest here. There are two guest houses maintained by them to provide comfortable stay. Jungle safari is another tourist attraction here.
