Sikar is one of the heritage centers in Rajasthan and a favorite tourist destination. It is also a famous pilgrimage center. The presiding deity is Lord Shri Khatu Shyamji who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Krishna. It holds high religious values. One can find ample of temples in and around Sikar city. The popular temples are Shyamji temple, Ganeshwar and Harshnath temple. The well celebrated festival is Khatu Shyamji festival. It attracts large number of devotees. The entire fair is celebrated with great pomp and show. Every year in the month of March, the festival is conducted. During the fair time, the city is flooded by countless of devotees and visitors.

Jeenmata, Harshnath temple, Laxmangarh and Madho Niwas Kothi are other famous places in Sikar.
