The fantabulous view of the Sahyadri hill range is received from Durshet. Durshet is covered by thick jungles and also is a home of many rare bird species. The shining clouds, the chirping birds and the lush greens will surely make us a child of joy in the lap of “Mother Nature”.
Durshet lies quietly on the banks of River Amba and is located between Pali and Mahad, the two religious places of Ashtavinayak temple series. A battle between Shivaji Maharaj and Kartalab Khan took place here.
The place is encompassed by magnificient Mango and Mahu trees. It is a delight for nature lovers to enjoy the safari and trek the mountains.
Durshet is 105 kms to the south-east of Mumbai on the old Mumbai-Pune Highway. Durshet is easily accessible by rail, road and air.
