ANKLESHWAR
Ankleshwar is a small yet popular city located close to Bharuch. It is the well planned industrial city which houses about 1000 chemical industries. In the early 70’s the government of Gujarat established “Ankleshwar Industrial Estate” in a vast area of over 1600 hectares that greatly boosted the industrial establishment and development here. Wide varieties of industries ranging from petroleum, textile, pharmaceuticals, engineering and much more industries are located in its vicinity. The top guns like Godrej, Sun Pharma, Glaxo, ONGC and Asian paints have set up their offices here.
Nevertheless this oil city is popular for its tourist attractions and devotional places as well.
It is a treat to the eyes to watch the majestic Golden Bridge, a high priced iron bridge which is rust free and strong, was constructed in 1800’s by the British across the holy River Narmada to connect Bharuch and Ankaleshwar.
Assembly of famous Jain temples enhances the devotional aspect of this place. There are four Jain temples in the vicinity of “Shri Ankaleshwar Tirth”. Chintamani Parshwanath temple has 150 mts tall idol of Lord Parshwanath. Neminath, Adinath and Mahabir temples can also be seen.
With good collection of recreation and shopping facilities Ankleshawar is slowly and steadily gaining popularity as a tourist spot. Lakeview Plaza mall is the prime hub for food, entertainment and lodging. Never miss a visit to the Millenium park which is one of the oldest parks. Walk down the Chauta Bazar to window shop/purchase the local items or feast on the savories. Children parks, swimming pools, jogger’s park, sports club are established and maintained by the GIDC. Good number of budget to star hotels are available for the convenience of the travelers.

By Road : The Golden bridge connects Ankleshwar with Bharuch which is about 10 km. It is also well connected by National Highway 8.
By Train : Train services are available to Rajpipla.
By Air : Vadodara has the nearest airport.
