NAHAN
 
 Perched at an altitude of 932 feet, Nahan is a fantabulous natural heritage zone that is located in the flat areas close to the mighty Shiwaliks and remains almost detached from the other world. This off track destination is a heavenly abode which is blessed with salubrious climate, the prime feature which makes Nahan best visited whole throughout the year.  The city was founded in the year 1621 by King Karan Prakash.
 
 The fresh composure of air, snowy peaks, humble folk and bewitching radiance, beckons the travelers to visit the place again and again. Visitors make it a point to stop here and visit the ancient spiritual centers located here as Nahan is blessed with plenty of pilgrimage places. Trilokpur temple is the prominent shrine. Constructed in the later part of 15th century by Raja Dip Prakash it holds immense authentic weight age.
 
 While Renuka ji temple is adorned by Hindus, Sikh brothers visit Paonta Sahib in huge numbers.   In the midst of the city one can find Rani tal, a true gem which proudly flaunts off the royal heritage and antiquity. Within its proximity it houses a lovely pond, blooming garden and an ancient temple.
 
 Suketi Fossil park located by the side of River Markanda is a major stop over destination for the archeological aficionados. It houses large size fossils of the primordial animals. Make a visit to Dhaula Kuan which is popular for its fruit fed colorful orchards. Ranzor palace is also visit-worthy.
