Mussoorie
Mussoorie is a fantastic hill station, located on a horseshoe shaped ride at an altitude of 2000 meters above the sea level. The lovely land was discovered by Captain Young during 18th century. It is an energetic summer resort to enjoy cool and pleasant climate throughput the year. The picture perfect place has a vast carpet of greenery which teemed with rich variety of flora and fauna. The snow laden peaks are adorned with reflecting light of rising sun, colorful flowers and sizzling streams are the real eye treats. It is the Queen of Hill Stations. It is also the pathway of sacred destinations Gangotri and Yamunotri which are considered as origin of majestic rivers Ganga and Yamuna. Trekking, mountain climbing and leisure walks down on nature’s path are the most loved tourist activities of Mussoorie.
Places to visit
Kempty Falls
It is most popular as well as crowded destination in Mussoorie. It is breathtaking waterfall cascading from a height of 40 feet. Bathing under this falls is most thrilling and fun filled activity here.
The Mall
It is another hot spot in Mussoorie. One can get a glimpse of lines of lampposts and benches which offers a beautiful experience of colonial period. Old skating rinks, style video game parlor and Methodist church are the major attractions.
Cloud’s End
It is the end of Mussoorie, at a distance of 6 km and reached from Happy valley through Hathipaon. The surrounding thick jungle assures a wonderful refreshment.
