Dhanaulti
It is a beautiful hill station of Uttarkhand state in India. The Dhanaulti is belongs to Tehri Garhwal district. It is much famous among tourists as the proximity is very near to the regions of Chamba. It is located at an altitude of 2286 meters from the sea level. It is an ideal place to enjoy the summer vacation to get relief from turmoil of city life. It is a calm and tranquil place to get sink into peace. It is located around 24 km from Mussoorie, a prominent ill station. Eco Park is another major attraction of this place which is nicely fringed with Deodar trees. There is also a popular pilgrim called Surkanda Devi temple which is on the way from Dhanaulti to Chamba. It is very famous for the potato farms. Horse ride is available to explore the beauty of the entire farm which is a fantastic refreshing tourist activity.
Places to visit
Eco Park
It is a recently developed park which houses beautiful Deodar trees. It is developed by the DFO and citizens of Dhanaulti. Ambar and Dhara are the two eco parks located around 200 meter apart. It is a nice spot to visit.
Surkanda Devi Temple
It isaround 8 km from Dhanaulti and dedicated to Goddess Parvati Devi. It is at the elevation of 10,000 feet and offers an excellent trekking experience for a 1.5 km to reach the temple. The 362 degree view of Garhwal district can be seen from this temple.
Aloo Khet (Potato Farm)
It is about 1 km from main market and Doon valley is very much visible from this farm. Visitors can take a walk or horse ride to explore the farm.
Other Places
Chamba, New Tehri, Kanatal and Mussoorie are the other known picnic spots in Dhanaulti.
