MALINITHAN

 

 The city of Malinithan located in West Siang district with ancient sculptures and temple ruins, more or less can be called a heritage site of Arunachal Pradesh. This cultural capital with age old wonderful art makes the visitors to visualize the artistic grandeur and thank the creative minds behind these patented art of the ancient India. 

 

 Fantabulous remains and remnants of the Durga temple built in typical Odissi style surfaced the earth during the chain of excavations that were conducted here during 1968. The carvings on pillars, idols of god, plethora of carvings depicting figures of different animals, rare carvings of Lord Indra, Lord Surya mounted on his chariot and the idol of Nandi in front of the sanctum provides exceptional treat to the archaeological buffs. 

 

 The place blessed with cool climate can be visited whole throughout the year. Bus or car can be availed from Itanagar or Guwahati.
