It is one of the busiest regions and an important business hub of Uttarkhand, located in Udham Singh Nagar. Khatima is well connected with other neighboring cities and towns by various transportation facilities. It has a hydel powerhouse which was built on river Sharadha. It is under terai regions of majestic Himalayas. The region was previously called as Tharwat. The major attractions of Khatima are Surai forest range, Bharamal Baba, Vankhandi temple, Banbasa range and Jama Masjid. 

It is rich in flora and fauna and a perfect place for photographers and bird watchers. Nearthe forest range, there is a River which serves as water source for animals. It is around 20 km from Khatima.

It is a holy sacred spot where Sivlingh is worshipped near the Baba Bharamal grave. It is the witness of Hindu Muslim brotherhood and forbearance.
