Joshimath is a highly reverted Hindus pilgrim center, located in the district of Chamoli in Uttarakhand. The entire region is flocked by devotees throughout the year. It is an excellent base region for trekkers. One can experience an awesome trek to reach Valley of Flowers from the Joshimath town. There are several Dharmashalas and hotels available in the town. T is one of the oldest trees, around 1,200 years old, measuring 21.5 km incircumference. It is the place used by great Guru Adi Shankaracharyar for meditation. There is also a cave located nearby the tree.

It is a templededicated to Lord Narsingh, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and it is considered as the home of Shri Badrinath.

Haridwar railway station is the nearest one and well served by numbers of train.

It is well connected to cities like Dehradun, Rishikesh, Almora and Haridwar by road.
