Badrinath
It is a world famous pilgrim of Hindus, located between Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. It belongs to Chamoli district of Uttarakhand and bestowed with pristine and scenic surroundings. The beautiful backdrop of Badrinath is set by colossal Neelkanth mountain peak. It is a place of mythological significance and considered much sacred among Hindus. It is considered more sacred as many sages and yogis are residing here. It is the holy abode of Lord Shiva. The complete region is filled with many sacred shrines. The temple complex
The holy shrine of Badrinath is at an elevation of 3133 meters and it is the most sacred pilgrim center of Hindus in India. The amazing temple is located in the midst of gorgeous basin which boasts a legendry history. The temple is devoted to lord Bardinath which is around 15 meter tall and black in color.
Neelkanth
It is a towering peak which sets the beautiful back drop of badrinath. It overlooks the sacred Badrinath temple. It is a gigantic snowy peak around 6597 meters in height which attracts number of devotees and visitors throughout the year. The charming peak is also renowned as Queen of Gharwal.
Tapt Kund
It is a natural hot water spring around 45C of temperature and considered as holy abode of Agni, one of the five elements. This is a sacred pond and water of this spring is blessed with therapeutic characteristics which are believed to cure sinful deeds.
Narad Kund
It is most renowned spot in Badrinath where Adi Sankarar recovered the idol of Lord Vishnu. It is naturally protected by a projecting edged rock angles and recess in River Alakananda. Holy dip at this kund is considered much auspicious before temple dharshan.
Other Places
Vasudhara falls, Charanpaduka, Brahma Kapal, Sheshnetra and Mana are other famous places.

By Air
Dehradun airport is the nearest one around 317 km from Badrinath.
By Train
Rishikesh, Haridwar and Kotdwar are the nearest rail heads around 300 km, 310 km, 330 km from Badrinath respectively.
By Road
There are many buses available to reach Badrinath from Delhi, Haridwar and Rishikesh.
Weather
In summer the temperature is 12C to 18C and in winter 8C to 10C. It is best to visit Badrinath from June to September.
