It is a spot in Jaipur and was constructed to store architectural astronimal instruments. It was built by Maharaj Jai Singh II and was served as capital of Jaipur from 1727 to 1734 and later it was modified and served as Mughal capital of Delhi. There are five this kind of architectures. Among all, Jantar Mantar observatory preserved of these days. There are fourteen major geometric divisions. These instruments were used to predict eclipse and to locate starts. The entire structure is made of local stone and marble. From 1948, Jantar Mantar was declared as National monument after its restoration in the year of 1901.
