Jalore
Jalore is a historical place located on the banks of River Sukhi in Rajasthan. In ancient times, the city was known as Jabalipura. During 9th century, the city gained its glamour and was flourished with constructions of several structures. The Jalore fort is located on the hillock called Songir is the major tourist attraction. The region was ruled by both Hindu and Muslim rulers, hence one can see the different influences throughout the city. Jalore fort is one of the living testimonies for the atchitectural brilliance of ancient era. This is one of the popular tourist destinations in Rajasthan and said to be impregnable. The mosque, Hindu temple and Jain temple are located inside the fort is the unique feature of Jolore fort. The entire region is filled with variety of Jain temples which are built in varying period. Malik Shan Mosque and Sire Mandir are two important spots in Jalore. Topekkana is a cannon bulding which is another tourist attraction and worth to visit.
Places to visit
Jalore Fort
Jalore fort is built by Paramaras during 10th century and said to be impregnable. The mosque, Hindu temple and Jain temple are located inside the fort and it was built on Songir hillock. A must visit place in Jalore.
Mosque of Malik Shah
It was built by Ala-ud-din-Khilji and is located in the middle of fort. The mosque depicts the Gujarat style of architecture.
Other Places
Topekkhana, Sire Mandir, Fort of Kot Kasta, Lohangarh of Jaswantpura and Quila or Fort of Bhadrajun are some good places to make a visit.

Jalore has its own railway station and fairly served by trains.
By Road
There are good numbers of buses available to reach nearby major cities likeUdaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmar of Rajasthan.

In summer 35-50 C and in winter 4-28 C and best visited from June to November.
