Ranakpur
It is a beautiful temple town in Rajasthan and a much popular pilgrimage center. The town is away from city turmoil. One has to cross 99 km from Udaipur to reach this region. Ranakpur is primarily famous for Jain temples. These temples are located at the backdrop of beautiful sand stretch of Desert. The temples are made of amber and the huge complex is enclosed by massive walls. Chamukha temple is located within the complex and it is the main Jain temple in Ranakpur. This temple is devoted to Adinathji who is believed to be first Tirthankarar. The 1444 pillars, exquisite carvings and amazing paintings are the enchanting features of this temple. It is one of the architectural marvels. The Parasvanath temple, the Neminath temple and the Sun Temple are the other well-known temples.
