Bandipur National Park
It is an exquisite wildlife center to admire the breath-taking nature splendors and to stay away from bustles and hustles of daily life. This amazing region was established in 1930, located in Chamrajnagar district of Karnataka. It is a proud part of Nilgiris and flanked by gushing Rivers Kabini, Nugu and Moyar which flows through this verdant land. This is a chosen place to save endangered species of Tigers. The Government of India took initiatives to declare this as Project Tiger. It is not only for Tigers, there are several other species are also increases ever since. Animals like sambar, elephants hornbill, wild dog, partridge, deer and many more can be seen here. It is under Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and it is the first reserve in India.

Bandipur National Park
It is established in 1930 by government of India to protect endangered species of Tigers. It is the first reserve and oldest wildlife sanctuary in the country. It is sprawled in the area of 874 sq km. Maharaja of Mysore is the founder of this park. It is very close to Cyber city of Bangalore. This is rich in fauna and flora. The mesmerizing aroma of sandal woods, chirping of birds, divine silence, dense forest and sublime climate made this as a fantastic place to spend vacation. There are several tourists activities like boating, fishing, trekking and bird watching which amuses each and every visitors.
Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta
It is the highest peak, measuring 1454 meters from sea level. It is a lovely place to enjoy the mist covered peak. The entire region is surrounded by lush greenery. Herds of elephants and temples are adding the lure of this place.

Bangalore international airport is the nearest one about 215 km from Badipur.
By Train
Mysore rail head is the good option to reach via train. The distance between Mysore railhead and Bandipur is 80 km.
By Road
Number of state owned buses are available to reach Bandipur from major and minor cities of Karnataka.

In summer 22-40°C and in winter 10-27°C. It is best to visit from March to June and September to November.
