VELNESHWAR

 A picturesque tiny place situated in the Indian state of Maharashtra, Velneshwar boasts of an exhilarating ambiance. This temple captivates the minds of the tourists with its clean and litter free surroundings. The temple is best suited place to sit and meditate for hours together without any tension. Maha Shivrathri is celebrated with great joy. The ancient Anjanwale fort is also worth a visit.

By Air: The closest airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji international Airport in Mumbai (370 kms); from there one has to travel by train or bus.

By Rail: Chiplun which is about 60 kms from Velneshwar is the nearest railway head. 

By Road: From Mumbai and Guhagar it is about 370 and 16kms respectively. From Pune to Velneshwar the distance is about 200km; from Ratnagiri it is around 170kms. MSRTC and private buses are available.
