Shivgiri is a scenic town of Chikmagalur district of Karnataka and settled in Babu Bundanagiri mounds of Kadur Taluk. It is rich in coffee plantations. One can get a beautiful glimpse of these coffee shoot from top of the hill. The 100 years old coffee estate is situated in the middle of Yemmedoddi forest which is a renowned Tiger Reserve in India. Shivgiri is entirely away from external worls and makes it one of the outstanding holiday destinations to unwind the tangled nerves. It is small temple in Shivgiri, believed to be 400 years old but exact origin is unknown. It is devoted to Lord Shiva. The beautiful temple view can be seen from Doddabale peak.
