Painaw

Places to Visit
Kulamavu
It is another most visited hill station of Idukki dstrict, located at an altitude of 3000 feet above the sea level and an ideal place for adventures of trekking. Boat ride between Kulamavu and Cheruthoni is an amazing and thrilling experience last for last two hours. Kulamavu dam is another place of tourist visit.
Idukki Arch Dam
It is the Asis’s first arch dam and world’s second arch dam, measuring 550 feet in height and 650 feet in width, built across Periyar river which supports the hydroelectric project. The vast dam comprises of twenty small and big dams, majestic rivers and underground tunnels. The dam is beautifully nested in between two mountains namely Kuravanmal and Kurathimala, surrounded by evergreen environs.
