Munnar is a earthy heaven and a place of harmony and peace. Fantastic and top ten hill station in India, located in Idukki district of Kerala. It is titles as ‘Kashmir of South’. Incredibly beautiful place located at an altitude of 6000 feet above the sea level. Most significant summer resort in India. The entire hilly region is covered with high green mountains, virgin valleys, lush vegetation, craggy rocks, bubbling brooks, gurgling streams, thriving tea plantations  and sizzling breeze. Picture perfect beauty of Munnar is certainly captivates heart of every visitor. One can feel the gentle cuddle of the nature and unwind the tangled nerves in the lap of nature splendors. The thick deciduous forest is filled with rose woods, teak and sandal woods which adds to its aroma of ambrosia.

Hill View Park
It is the popular tourist attraction and offers dazzling panoramic views of arch dam and entire Cheruthoni region. The attractive park is sprawled on around 8 acres of land and 350 feet above from the water level of dam. Clean and beautifully maintained park located 1.5 km from Idukki. It is an excellent place to see binocular view of Deers, Elephants and Bisons in their natural habitat. It has a natural lake which is rich in flora and fauna.

Idukki Arch Dam
It is the Asis’s first arch dam and world’s second arch dam, measuring 550 feet in height and 650 feet in width, built across Periyar river which supports the hydroelectric project. The vast dam comprises of twenty small and big dams, majestic rivers and underground tunnels. The dam is beautifully nested in between two mountains namely Kuravanmal and Kurathimala, surrounded by evergreen environs. 

Rajamalai National Park
It is popularly known as Eravikulam National Park.  It is a home of rare species of wild goats called Nilgiri Tahr. It is abundantly rich in grass and shoal forest.  Best place to enjoy with friends and family. One can see elephants, nilgiri marten, langers, small clawed otter, leopard and tigers. It is one of the must visit place in Munnar.

Other Places
Muttupetti dam, Salim Ali Bird sanctuary, Anamudi peak,  Kulamavu, Tata Tea Museum, Kundala Lake,  Kolukulamal Tea estate, Painavu and Marayoor are other prominent picnic destinations to relax in Munnar.

Angamaly railway station is 120 km from Munnar is nearest railhead.

Several private and state run buses are well connecting Munnar to almost all cities and districts of Kerala.
