The attractive park is sprawled on around 8 acres of land and 350 feet above from the water level of dam. Clean and beautifully maintained park located 1.5 km from Idukki. It is an excellent place to see binocular view of Deers, Elephants and Bisons in their natural habitat. It has a natural lake which is rich in flora and fauna.

It is the Asis’s first arch dam and world’s second arch dam, measuring 550 feet in height and 650 feet in width, built across Periyar river which supports the hydroelectric project. The vast dam comprises of twenty small and big dams, majestic rivers and underground tunnels. The dam is beautifully nested in between two mountains namely Kuravanmal and Kurathimala, surrounded by evergreen environs. 

It is popularly known as Eravikulam National Park.  It is a home of rare species of wild goats called Nilgiri Tahr. It is abundantly rich in grass and shoal forest.  Best place to enjoy with friends and family. One can see elephants, nilgiri marten, langers, small clawed otter, leopard and tigers. It is one of the must visit place in Munnar.

Muttupetti dam, Salim Ali Bird sanctuary, Anamudi peak,  Kulamavu, Tata Tea Museum, Kundala Lake,  Kolukulamal Tea estate, Painavu and Marayoor are other prominent picnic destinations to relax in Munnar.
