NAGAON

 Nagaon is a beautiful village which is popular for its pristine beach. This romantic beach is elegantly lined with the ‘Suru’ trees and has a vast spread of white and black sand. The atmosphere in Nagaon is serene and pollution free. The beach is sparsely populated and makes a perfect place for solitude lovers.

  The beach is safe for swimming and also is a hub of  many water sports where boating, motor boat riding and parasailing are the major activities. The Birla Mandir, Korlai fort and Revanda fort are worth a visit. 

  Glittering coastline of sandy beach and the surrounding greenery makes this magnificent place a hot spot for the tourists. 

                                                   PLACES TO VISIT

 Birla Mandir : This temple built with beautiful white granite is about 9kms from Nagaon. Located on a small hill it has murtis of Lord Shiva and Parvathi, Radha-Krishna, Goddess Durga. The prayer hall is attractive with a open roof.

Revdanda Fort : This fort depicts the true Portuguese culture. It houses a seven story tower and an old church. This fort offers breath-taking view of the nearby Korlai fort and the sea.

Water Sports : Nagaon beach is emerging as a hot spot for water sport lovers. Motor boat riding, boating and parasailing are the famous activities.

Nagaon is about 10kms from Alibag. Alibag connects to the major cities by bus.
