Mudumalai Located in dense forests of Nilgiris, this place is renowned for its wild life sanctuary. The exact location of this place is at the meeting point of three states, namely Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The main type of this sanctuary is green forests, Grasslands and a wide variety of wildlife. The diverse wildlife includes Tigers, Deer, Panther, Hyena, Sloth Bear, Flying Squirrel, Leopard, Sambar, Wild Boar, Civets, Gaur, Lizards, Langurs, Jackal, Chital, Antelopes and Macaques.

Mudumalai National Park
Mudumalai National Park was established in 1940 over an area of around 321 sq km located on the north-western side of the Nilgiri Hills The sanctuary is address to plentiful animals like crocodiles, pythons, common krait ,bamboo pit snakes, Asian elephant, tiger, leopard, gaur, hyena, jackal, sloth bear, sambar, chital, mouse deer, wild boar and stripe-necked mongoose. Migrant birds like Malabar grey-hornbill, crested hawk eagles, Malabar trogon, black-woodpecker, falcon and the king vulture can be seen here.

Theppakadu Elephant Camp
The camp area obtained its name from the two words; ‘Theppam’ and ‘Kadu’, meaning pond and forest correspondingly existed here since 1910 as a small camp and was declared an elephant camp in 1972. This camp allows people to interact with elephants in a controlled environment. The camp is used to train as well as house elephants. Tourists can also come and see the elephants fed during feeding time.

Jungle Safari
The Jungle Safari is that allows people to come and experience out of the ordinary animals living in their natural environment. Both vehicle safaris and elephant safaris are available through the Forest Department
