Haridwar is a popular and very sacred Hindus pilgrimage center in India. It literally means Gateway of God. It is considered as exit point of sacred river Ganga from mountain to plains. It was known as Brahm Kund which was built by King Vikramaditya. It emit splendid aura of lights and chants in the evening.

This is devoted to patriotic nationals and was found by Swami Satyamitranand Giri. It is locatedat Sapta Sarovar at an elevation of 180 feet. Each floor depicts various legends, mythologies and deities.

Chilla Wildlife Sanctuary, Sapt Rishi Ashram, Moti Bazaar,  Udan Khatola, Maya Devi Temple, Vaishno Devi temple, Kushavarta Ghat and Chandi Devi temple are other popular places n Haridwar.

Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun is the nearest airport around 20 km from Haridwar.

Haridwar railway station is a major one which is well connected to all major cities of India.

There are plenty of bus services provided by state and private transport corporations to reach Haridwar by road from various major cities in Inda.
