It is a tiny and beautiful valley of Uttarakahand state in India. It is an excellent dreamland to explore in a various ways. Rudranath Mandir, Madhyamaheswar mandir, Kalpeshwar mandir, Chandrashilla and Kanchula Korak Musk Deer sanctuary are other known places in and around Chopta.

There are two famous trek regions available here. One is to Deori Tal Lake which is located under the peak called Chukumba and surrouned by forest entirely. After long trekking, visitors usually do camping at the lake side which is another exciting leisure activity here. Second route is to Tunganath Temple which is at an altitude of 3660 meters. It is comparatively easier to trek as the roads are well set and paved.

Dehradun railway station is the nearest railhead.

Chopta is well connected to Dehradun, Rishikesh, Haridwar and other nearby towns by road.
