Bageshwar
Bageshwar is scenic town of Uttarkhand state in India. There are several tourist destinations located in and around Bageshwar town. It is much popular among travelers. It is beautifully nestled at the confluence of River Gomti and River Saryu. The entire region is remarked for temples. One can find some ancient temples belong to 10th century. Bagnath temple is most famous temple which is located at the meeting point of two Rivers. Other main temples are Bhairav Temple, Kalikka Temple, Panchnam Junnarka, Datatrey Maharaj, Ganga Mai Temple, Durga Temple, Hanuman Temple and Vaneshwara temple.

Bagnath Temple
It is an old temple, devoted to Lord Shiva.Legends claim that Sage Markandeya has visited this place in the form of Tiger. It is located in the middle of the town and was constructed in 1602 AD by Chand dysnasty. Shivarathi is celebrated with much pomp and show.
Baijnath
It is an important religious and historical region, located on the banks of River Gomti. It is around 26 km from Bageshwar in a Katyuri valley. Main temples are Shiva temple, Kotkimai temple and Bamani temple. The presiding deity is Baijnath and Vaidhyanatha.

Chandika temple, Pandustal, Vijaypur and Kanda are some notable places in Bageshwar.

In summer temperature is 30 C to 40 C and in winter 10 C to 22 C. It is good to visit Bageshwar between October to May.
