ANAND
Anand, a small little district in the Indian state of Gujarat has gained international recognition for its world class Amul dairy which is popular for its hygienic and tasty milk products. This place which is about 35 kms from Vadodara was one among the pioneer places which started the white revolution in the country.
Setting up of Amul factory in the district changed the life of the poor farmers and encouraged them to rear good breed of cows and get large quantity of milk.The milk was in turn purchased by the factory and good amount of money was given to the farmers.

By rail: The railway station of Anand is situated on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara railway line. Trains coming from many major cities have a halt here.
By road: Three state highways runs through Anand, which makes it well connected to other parts of Gujarat state.
By air: Vadodara airport is the closes airport to Anand. It is located at a distance of 44 Kms from the place. All the major cities are linked to Anand via this airport.
