The sacred town is located in Tanjore district of Tamilnadu, near to Kumbakonam. It is one of the sixt holy abodes of Lord Murugan. Places to visit

This temple is located in Thiruvalanchuzhi village around 2 km from Swammalai. The main deity is Lord Ganesha. There are several other idols of deities can be found here, mainly Goddess Kali, Periyanayaki and Lord Sadaimudinathar.
