It is an historical city belongs to Rajasthan. The region is well renowned for the Ranthambhor National Park and Ranthambohr Fortress. The fortress is located inside the Park. The entire city was developed during 18th century. The Sawai Guava fruits are very famous. The Ranthambohr Park is one of the reservoirs of tigers. It is homage for several wildlife species and birds. One can find tigers, nilgais, leopards, chitals, sloth bears and many more animals here. Jungle safari is another famous tourist attraction here. It is around three sours ride. The fortress inside the Park is belongs to 10th century and one of the majestic architectural piece.  Karauli, Trinetra Ganesh Temple, Sri Mahaveerji Temple, Siwad, Amareshwar Mahadeo and Chauth Mata Temple are other famous places in Sawai Madhopu.
