Pakur
The Indian state of Jharkhand contains the district called Pakur, in which Pakur is also the name of a town. PLACES TO REACH IN PAKUR
Siddhu-Kanhu Park: One of the solitary beautiful parks in this district, the Siddhu-Kanhu Park is located at the backside of the SDO Bungalow. One can see the Martello tower present here. The British rulers of Pakur constructed this structure.
Birkitti: The distance between the headquarters of the Maheshpur Block and Birkitti is 10 Kms. During the time period of the 18th century, this place witnesses the event of a ferocious fight that has been fought between two personalities namely Raja Udit Narayan Singh and Nabab Murshid Kuli Khan.
Devinagar: The distance between the headquarters of the Maheshpur Block and Devinagar is 16 Kms. One can find the relics and remains of many structures, such as temples and buildings, which have been constructed by Raja Udit Narayan Singh, a local raja.
Hot Spring: This hot spring is a natural fountain. It is located in a location called Sidpur, which is again set at a distance of 8 Kms from the headquarters of the Pakuria Block. During the time of the Makar Sankranti, group members of the other community take a holy bath in this fountain.
Kanchangarah: This location is located on the summit of a hill, which is set against a backdrop of a dense wood. It is set at a distance of 18 Kms from the Littipara Block Headquarters. This structure takes the form of an oval shape. It is said that this structure used to be the reigning seat of the king of Paharia during that time.
Nityakali Mandir: The northern portion of the Pakur Town contains this temple of Nityakali Mandir. It is an ancient temple. Out of a big black colored stone, the idol in the temple has been carved. The main deity for worship among the people here is Goddess Kali.
Shiv Sheetla Mandir: Among the people following the Hindu religion, this temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Hanuman is growing to be a popular destination for worshipping.
Mahakal Shakti Pith: The west of the town of Pakur contains a grand temple of Mahakal Shakti Pith. This place is a popular place for worshipping.
Dharni-Pahar: The distance between Pakur and the Dharni Pahar is a mere 15 Kms. It is located in the south west direction of the headquarters of the district of Pakur. On the summit of the hill one can find an ancient temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This place hosts a yearly fair during the festival of Maha-Shivratri.
