Noida
Noida stands for the New Okhla Industrial Development Area. In order to satisfy the needs of the modern middle class people, this area has been rapidly developed.
In the year 1976, the corner stone of Noida was put into place. It was done on the basis of relocating the medium sized and small scale industries from Delhi. However, this plan did not work as a little portion of the industries only left Delhi and settled in Noida. During the time period of the mid eighties, it was observed that many people are purchasing land for living purposes.
Noida again came into the limelight when there was a boom in the IT industry during the middle portion of the nineties. At present, the population of Noida counts to a whooping 5 Lakhs figure. The backbone of the economy is the IT industry and the Electronic Industry.
