Kasargod is a blessed district and northern most Kerala. It is one of the well maintained and preserved fort in Kerala, constructed during 16th century by Shivappa Nayak , a local chieftain. The panoramic vistas of fringing country side is excellently seen from this fort which is perched on top of a hill at an altitude of 39 meters from sea level. One can reach Bekal fort around 16 km from Kasargod. The circle shaped fort is built with huge laterite blocks and must visit place in Kasargod.

The single most lake temple in Kerala located around 15 km from Kasargod. The sacred temple is encircled by pure and clear water of the pristine lake offers a majestic view to tourists. The connecting bridge is used to access the temple dedicated to Lord Padmanabha and considered the original seat of iodl of Sri Padmanabha Swami temple n Thiruvanathaputram.   It is an important Hindus pilgrimage filled with scenic beauty.

Sri  Manantheswara Vinayaka temple,  Manjakuddam temple, Thapotsavam,  Kappl beach, Kanwatheera beach and  Bekal Hole Aqua park are other most visited tourist attractions of Kasargod.

Mangalore airport is nearest one, located 50 km from Kasargod.

The awe-inspiring scenic beauty is enjoyed in train journey. Kasargod railway station is well connected to numerous towns of Kerala and major cities of India.
