Karna Lak
In the north direction of Karnal, at a distance of 5 Kms, the Karna Lake is situated. It is located on the Delhi-Amritsar highway. The terrain of the lake is absolutely stunning. Numerous facilities for the tourists are there in the front of the water body. Amongst the tourists and travelers, the resort is a favorite. Also, the local people like to come here to enjoy a nice time and a small picnic on the spot by the lake in the lush lawns.
Many a number of amenities such as motel, family huts, restaurant, bar, conference hall, boating activities in the lake, a shop for souvenirs and a dormitory are present here.
THINGS TO SEE
The Kala Amb memorial, which is an obelisk depicting the historical 3rd Battle of Panipat, the tomb of Kalandar Shah, the Kos Minar, which is a watch tower, Trori Sarai, which is again a little fort situated in Katju Nagar, Babur’s masjid and tombs of personalities such as Mukrab Ali Khan, Mubarak Khan and Altaf Hussain Ali are some of the major attractions present in and around this location.
In Amin, there has been a discovery of two age old pillars, red in color. Also the place called Bahlolpur is linked with the renowned battle between Bhima and Duryodhana of the epic story, Mahabharata. Duryodhana concealed himself in a water tank in order to hide. However, after Bhima sneered at Duryodhana, he came out of the tank and he met his death at Bhima’s hand.
At present Karnal is the focal point for the National Dairy Research Institute of Haryana. This place asserts that it lead in the “white revolution” by manufacturing huge amount of milk.

By air: Muzaffarnagar has the nearest airport. It is located at a distance of 84 Kms.
By rail: Some of the railway stations located near to Karna Lake are Bhaini Khurd, Ambala Cant. Junction and Karnal.
