Corbett is belongs to Nainital district of Uttarkhand. The national park is established in the year of 1936. The park was previously known as Hailey National park and in the year of 2952, it was renamed as Ramganga national park and the present name was from 1957. It is the India’s first and beautiful National Park at an altitude is ranging from 360 meter to 1,040 meters, spread around 1,308.58 sq km. It acts as homage for various species especially Bengal tigers which are endangered species. The dense forest area is also houses 50 tree species, 580 species of birds, more than 50 animal species and 25 species of reptiles. The beautiful park is under the foothills of magnificent Himalayas in the midst of lush greenery and uneven mountains ranging from 1300 feet to 400 feet in height. It is an excellent sight-seeing spot for visitors. It is a paradise for bird watchers, environmentalists, wild life enthusiasts and nature lovers. 

It is an awesome waterfall cascading from the height of 60 feet and surrounded by lush green forest. It is also an excellent place for camping filled with variety of bird species and diversity of shrubs and trees. Nature walk museum is another attraction to explore the nature.

Elephant safari is the major and exciting feature here. Tamed elephants are available to ride. It takes the visitors to the forest terrains and resorts. 

River rafting in a River Kosi is an amusing experience. It is the most loved adventurous water sport in Corbett.

It is another favorite tourist activity here to watch birds, deers, elephants and other special species of forest and to enjoy precious nature.

Patanagar domestic airport is around 50 km from this Corbett National Park.

Ramnagar railhead is at 60 km distance from Corbett is the nearest railhead.

Plenty of public transportation buses are available to reach Corbett National Park from various nearby towns of Uttarkhand.

In summer 15 to 25 C and in winter 7 to 18 C and it is best viewed from November to June.
