Supaul District is a district in the state of Bihar, a state of the country India. It is a town as well as a municipality. The administrative headquarters of the district is located in the town of Supaul. The Indian boundary with Nepal is located close by. Across the lands of Supaul, the Kosi River runs. The flood circumstance in Supaul has seen major enhancement following the building of the Kosi Dam. Supaul History
Form the time of the Vedic Period, Supaul District was a component of Mithilanchal. In the Hindu folklores, mention of this region as a location for fishing, has been done. Angutaran and Apadnigam are the two most ancient democratic systems. The present day region of the Supaul District is constituted by these two democracies. During the Buddhist period, presence of Angutaran and Apadnigam has been found. Somewhere, place shows acetic characteristics, whereas somewhere basic attributes are shown by it.
