Jyotiba Phule Nagar is a district in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The district headquarters are situated at Amroha Town. It is one of the Minority Concentrated Districts. Bijnor district surrounds the district on the north and it is surrounded by Moradabad district on the east and southeast. On the south, it is surrounded by Badaun district and the River Ganga borders it on the west. The districts Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad and Meerut lie across the river.
Jyotiba Phule Nagar History
The present area of the district came under Sambhal sarkar of Delhi subah under Mughal Empire. Later, Awadh took charge of the district. The administration of this territory was ceded to the British East India Company by the Nawab of Awadh in 1801. The district came into force on April 24, 1997 by constituting Amroha, Dhanora and Hasanpur Tehsils of the erstwhile Moradabad district and the village Khalakpur Kala is the famous of Kavindra Chauhan.
