 Wokha is a spectacular district located in the Indian state of Nagaland. Its unspoiled natural splendor fills the tourist with a refreshing warmness.  With calm serene atmosphere, greenish surroundings and solitude Wokha lures many tourists. The place is also known for its rich culture, and the local forms of entertainment (music and dance) will surely grab your attention.

 Mount Tiyi, which has many mysterious stories attached to it forms the chief attraction. Enthusiasts can scale up the peak to enjoy the majestic view of the underlying tiny villages and breath-taking scenery. Rhododendrons can be seen in abundance here.

 Lotha tribes form the main population and they fabulously display the exotic culture of the North-East. Music and dance forms an essential culture of these tribes. Fine basketry work made from bamboo and cane showcase the creativity of these friendly tribes. There is also a huge demand for the hand-made shawls made of vibrant colors. Tokhu Emong and Pikhuchak are the prime festivals. 
 
 Rice is the main staple food. Plenty of oranges and pineapples grow in this region. People rely on cottage industries and rice cultivation for their livelihood. 
 
 Longsa, Nrung Longidang, Yanthamo and Longsachung are some of the places which are worth visiting. This cool eco-friendly place is a perfect gateway to run away from the stress of the modish city life.
