Srisailam
Srisailam is a popular weekend destination, located in Kurnool district of Andra Pradesh, at a distance of 220 km from Hyderabad, beautifully situated on the southern banks of majestic river Krishna around 1500 feet above the sea level. It is the gateway of wild life sanctuary and Shiva shrine. It is a place of spiritual significance. Ancient city dated back 12th century famed for having India' largest tiger reservoir. Brahmsramba Devi Temple
One of the reputed Hindu shrine, calmly located on a Nallamala hills on the southern banks of river Krishna at an altitude of 457 meters above the sea level, presiding deity is Lord Mallikarjuna and Goddesss Parvati, who is otherwise called as Brahmaramba. Ancient temple mentioned in Mahabharatha epic as Sri Parvata, a blessed hill.
Srisailam wild Life Santuary
It is the largest tiger reservoir in India. Dramatically spreads around 3568 sq km and winding gorges terrain. Thick deciduous forest is rich in bamboo and shrubs. One can get to see variety of wild life species like tiger, antelopes, sloth bear, dotted deer, jackals, hyenas, forest-cat, Pangolin and much more. It is located near Srisailam dam which is the crocodile breeding spot. Trekking towards Nallamala hills is famous among youngsters. Wonderful place for a school excursion and camping.

Hathakeshwara temple – a small yet popular shrine of Srisailam, where saint Sri Shankaracharya wrote his philosophical notes, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Mallikarjuna Swamy temple – six centuries year old temple, one of the twelve 'Jothirlinga' is presiding deity, built in Vijayanagar architectural style. Shikareswara temple – Sikharam is the highest point of Srisailam, an excellent point to view entire town and majestic river Krishna, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Ganapati temple, Hemareddy Mallamma temple, Akka Maha devi temple are other well known temple in Srisailam. Srisailam dam is one of the must visit place.
