SEONI
Seoni is a small town located in Seoni district, Madhya Pradesh. This sleepy town is marked by exotic spread of rich, virgin forests. Its pristine natural effulgence refreshes every visitor’s mind and soul.
The region is mostly inhabited by the tribal population and they mainly rely on the Wainganga River for drinking and washing. Agriculture is the chief profession of the people.
Bhimgarh Sanjay Sarovar Dam constructed across the Wainganga River raised to the heights of fame as the biggest dam in the whole of Asia which is brilliantly constructed using only soil as raw material. Boating facilities has been started off here by the tourism department to boost tourism.
Pench National Park is the other prominent attraction which is curled up in the arms of the lofty Satpura ranges in the Seoni district. Rudyard Kipling, the famous author who wrote Jungle Book was motivated to write his book by the enthralling lush green and rich wildlife of the Pench National Park. The park consists of enormous collection of colorful flora and wild fauna in its natural habitat. The Striped Stalker (Tiger) can be seen in good numbers. Carrying of cameras and binoculars are recommended to make the visit more exciting.
The remnants of the ancient Sona Rani palace spectacularly built on a natural setting in the forest is worth visiting. Seoni helps you to connect with nature and escape the hectic urban life.

Amodagarh : This place is about 32Kms from Seoni and famous for the remnants of the ancient Sona Rani palace spectacularly built on a natural setting in the forest.

By Train : Seoni has its own but a small railway station. Trains to Nagpur pass through this station. Trains to other major cities can be taken from Nagpur.
By Bus : Taxis and buses connect Seoni to the neighboring places.
By Air : Jabalpur Airport is about 130 kms from Seoni.
