Seerkazhi is a popular religious destination located on the banks of majestic River Kollidam in Nagapattinam District of Tamilnadu. This beautiful cultural heritage is lies between Mayiladuthurai and Chidambaram.  It houses several temples and main four gopurams. It holds the credit of being the birth place of great saint Gnanasambandhar. It is the place where religious and traditional practices are preserved and followed. Brahmotsavam is the major festival celebrated here. Seerkazhi is a clam and beautiful village filled with serene and sacred shrines. The major deities are Lord Brahmapureeswarar and Goddedd Thirumal Nayaki. It is a wonderful place to explore ancient temples and tradition.

It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort Thirumala Nayaki. The temple complex enshrines three different shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. The other main deities are Sattainathar and Thoniappar. It has sacred theertham called Brahma Theertham. The beautiful temple is gigantically surrounded by tall towers at each side called Gopuram.

T is located inside the Brahmapureeswarar temple premises. Sattainathar is the presiding deity, who is also called as Vatukanathar. There is big courtyard which is ideal place meditate and relax. Maha Shivarathri is celebrated with pomp and show.

It is one of the 22 sacred thirthas , located inside the  Brahmapureeshwarar temple premises. It is believed that Lord Brahma took bath hear and offered prayers to Lord Shiva at this Thirtha. An ablution in this Thirtha is considered sacred among devotees.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is expressed as Vaitheeswaran, Lord of Medicine. It is famous for Naadi astrology.  Legends claims that leprosy can be cured by offering prayers at this temple. The temple complex comprises of Siddhamirtham Tank and Navagraha temple. The water of holy tank is considered powerful cure of various skin disease. 

Gopalakrishnan temple, Thirukolakka  Shabdapureeswar temple, Thrukaiyur Amirthagatewarar temple, Mayuranathaswamy temple and Thillai Nataraja Temple are other famous temples to be visited.

Trichirapalli airport is located at a distance of 125 km from Seerkazhi is considered closest domestic airport.

Mayiladuthurai junction is the nearest railhead located around 20 km from Seerkazhi, served by several trains from Rameshwaram, Coimbatore, Chennai and Vilupuram.

Road transportation to reach Seerkazhi is made easy by abundant bus services from state and private transport sectors. Seerkazhi is well connected to major and minor cities of Tamilnadu.
