Rajahmundry
Rajahmundry is one of the oldest city, known as 'cultural capital born city', located in Andra Pradesh in between two main cities ijayawada and Vizag at a distance of 400 km from Hyderabad. One of the oldest business center in ancient Andra Pradesh. It runs along the river Godhavari. The name os this city was coined from the King, whose statue is located in heart of the city. Rajahmundry is famous for sight seeing. Favorite place for nature lovers. There are many amazing places nearby Rajahmundry. It is the entrance point of Papi hills. From here one can take 8 hours of thrilling boat journey to Badrachalam. Temples are another prominent feature to visit Rajahmundry.

Dowlaiswaram
An old barrage at the downstream of Godhavari river, located around 6 km from Rajahmundry. Sir Arthur Cotton has constructed this barrage for the rural area irrigation. This barrage is measuring 1440 meters and contains 70 spans. One can see the statue of Sir Arthur Cotton at barrage. It is a local market to sell bananas. The pleasant view of river Godhavari made it as good picnic spot.
Sri Gowthami Grandhalayam
It is a huge and informative library has collections of more than 60,000 books. The collections are in various languages. One can find rare vedic collections here. Old library, started around 1898 and registered in 1920 with various small libraries. One of the good place to visit. The natives of Rajahmundry used to visit this library very frequently.
Draksharamam Temple
It is one of the ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, located around 40 km from Rajahmundry. It is popularly knowns as Dhakshina Kasi, named by Sage Vyasa. Seven river pond is the major attraction among devotees. It is believed that water of this pond is exhibit medicinal properties and cures diseases and curses. Carvings of temple wall and inscriptions are the other characteristic features of this temple.
Shivarathri is the famous festival celebrated here.
