NAVSARI
Navsari is a vibrant and dynamic city located at close distance to the diamond city Surat. Many Parsis settled down in this city in around 11th century AD and named it Navu Sari which meant ‘New Sari’. Besides having spectacular landscapes and glorious natural settings, Navsari is also a prime marketing and business centre.
Located 30 feet above the ground level Navsari experiences severe climatic conditions. The temperature soars to as high as 45 degrees in summer and as low as 9 degrees in winter. Dudhiya Talav and Sharbatiya Talav are the two graceful lakes which attracts the tourists with its verdure surroundings and sparkling waters. It is a totally heavenly feeling to enjoy a long stroll besides the lake and feast on the Nature’s bounty in calm and cool atmosphere. These lakes are best suited destinations for the picnicking families to spend the weekend relaxingly. Navsari also houses a popular Zoroastrian temple called Atash Behram, which is located close to the Tarota Bazar.
Visit to Ashapuri Temple, the J.N. Tata Memorial Hall, Ravariya Bapa temple, the Parsvanath Jain temple, the legendary dargah of Sayed Saadat and Shri Swaminarayan Mandir should not be missed for anything.
Jamshetji Tata the father figure who changed the direction of the Indian Industrial standards and set up an international market for the Indian industries and products had his birth here. The Gujarat government has preserved the house well where he was born and must be visited. Dandi an important place where the freedom struggle and revolt against the British took place is situated close to Navsari.

Atash Behram: Another attraction is the Atash Behram. It is situated nearby Navsari’s Tarata Bazar. Among the seven Atash Behrams which exists all around the world, the Atash Behram situated in Navsari is one of the seven. Many Parsi Zoroastrians come here to visit this place.
