History of Joh Village

Few years back I met with one of the most prominet person ( Lamberdar ) Mr. Gian Chand of the Joh village and try to know the history of the village. According to him about 300 years back two persons  came from J&K and searching for a good place to live . They were working at a good post  under the king of the J&K . After some misunderstading with the king they left  their native place ( do not know the village ) and came here at Joh . They have the spritual powers and know the langauge of the birds . 1st they came at DOKHADA( place where two rivolutes meet together ) near Behli and rest there . In that period there was a well of potabale drinking water later it was converted to a GHaRAT ( local made hydroulic machine run with water to make flour of wheat , maize etc. )

At that time there was also a Riyasat of the king ( do not know the name of the king ). Since they were the unkonwn persons for the locals . The locals were living at BARA . BARA is a village still there , the people informed the king about the two strangers.

I have more information of the history of the Joh . If someone add something or any idea about this please add the information so that we could able to make the history.

Since there is no addition in the above article so I discussed it with my father Sh. Ram Prasad Sharma Rtd. Principal and he provide me lot of information pertaining to the history of Joh which is situated in the foothills of Shiwalik Range of Himalya and near to the famous temple Mata Chitpurni. I am adding what my father told to me

During 17th centuary one family named RAJOHAR migrated to Joh village when Aurangjeb was the rular of Delhi. He had no respect to other religions and at that time Hindus and Sikhs migrated to other places. It is quoted by one of the prominent historian named KHAFI KAHN.

During that period the Rajohar Family migrated to Joh from Jammu . Two persons of the family were employed by the king of Jammu. It has been said that these very persons could understand the voice of the animals and birds ( as also mentiond by Sh. Gian Chand Lamberdar of the village ) and could explain it.The village was rulled by a class called KAHADA. When these very persons stopped in the village , no body cared to wonder about them but when some one without getting their indentity told the head of KAHADA that some detactives have come in the village then villagers alarmed and kept strict watch  on them. One day these two persons were discussing about the crows ( they know the langaue of the birds ) who were saying that a pot of curd is lying in the choe ( small stream ) , so lets go there and enjoy the curd. The  villagers went to the place and found that they were right.

After two three days these persons heard the loud voice of jackals.
