An ancient and famous fort is present in Una, which is named as Kila. This very fort is the ancestral home of the successor of Guru Nanak, who is the first Guru of Sikhs. Chintpurni Goddess temple, Dera Baba Barbhag Singh, Dera Baba Rudru, Joggi Panga, Dharamshala Mahanta, Dhunsar Mahadev Temple Talmehra, Shivbari Temple Gagret and Mini Secretariat are some of the most popular place in Una which attracts visitors. Owing to the nearness of the state of Punjab, the district of Una grew to be a well progressed industrial area. The chief industrial highlights of Una are Mehatpur, Gagret, Tahliwal and Amb. A 14 kilometer wide gauge track built from Nangal to Una on 11th January 1991 was the first railway line that was constructed in Una. Some of the frequent languages spoken by the people of Una are Punjabi, Hindi and Pahari. Warm woolen clothing is an essential in the cool winter months of Una. Again for the summer months, which are quite hot, cotton garments are necessary. The rains stay from July to September and the weather becomes humid and moist.
