Our Village (Lingasamudram) is Located just 15kms faraway from the Famous(RAJA'S FORT-Venkatagiri). It is Famous for the Historical LORD SIVA Temple. Coming to the History of this Temple, 70 years back our village was starvated with inadequacy of rainfall, at that time people struggled a lot to live in village, One fine day a person named."Naraiah" was grazing the cattle near by the village, for a while he lean on a big stone and has taken rest for some time and passed away from that place, and at night when he was in a deep sleep "Lord Shiva" came into his dream and told him to do "Abishekam" for that stone.
Next day he(Naraiah Vemula) discussed with the villagers regarding this and all the villagers collaborated and did the "Abishekam"for that stone, after a couple of hours there was a Huge rainfall in our village, all the people wondered and thought that it was a Grace that lord "Siva" given for us and build the Temple and named it as "Sree Hymavathi Lingala Parameshwara Devasthan" and changed the village name as "Lingasamudram". From that time onwards every year on the occassion of "Maha Shiva Raathri" Grand celebration will be held on This was an Amazing History about our village.
