OverView of Mothe Bhal
Bhal means Face ( Kapaal in marathi ) .So that means Bhal is the face of Raigad or Konkan region . Basicly Our old generation came from Vadhav village to do farming in this area before 150 years ago . There is two part of Bhal .Mothe bhal(Big)and other is Bhal- Vitthalwadi.About 25 years ago ,there was no road access to Bhal and only Boat came from Mumbai to Bhal . If any one wants to go to Uran or Alibaug ,they used only water way.Many people are farmer and their side business is fishing.Every one have there own Boat (Hodi).Our village have Long creek face .One side is Dharamtar creek and other side is Bhogavati river creek .Many type of fishes wondering in creek face area.like various type of crabs,octopus strig ray ,bombay duck ,shark ,prounse exetra. Creek side have big mangrow Jungle . You see many type of animals in jungle like foxes (famous one-clever boy called fox in our village -Bhal cha Kolha.)bear, snake, birds are there .Foreigners also came every years called Flamingo Our Mangrow Ban is heaven for them. In 1947 Ramdas Boat tragedy had been happened , Famous name survived from that incidence called Ketu mama was from Bhal.There is two part of our history .Old generation belonged to west side( Creek side ) above history.New generation looked toward east side .They choose there own way after Village is connected by road with taluka. We have many Advocates, doctors ,engineers, teachers ,technician ,business men in our small village. Also, Hindu festivals are also celebrated in large numbers in the village, in which festivals like Shri Ram Navami, Hanuman Jayanti, Vitthal Mauli's Palkhi etc. are also celebrated. In the past several years, Ram Janmattsav is celebrated with great enthusiasm through the Chairman of Shri Ram Devasthan Trust, Mr. Moreshwar Vaman Mhatre.
