OverView of Malgarh
Malgarh is a village located in Jalore district of South western Rajasthan. Malgarh; even in 21st century known for its rich heritage and strong rural culture.Village has a population of around 4000 people from 17 different castes and communities including the Rajputs. Village skyline is dominated by 18th century palace still occupied by the descendants of the erstwhile royal family of Malgarh (Champawat, Rathores). At the moment there are lot of development and rural awareness programmes going on lead by Sh. Dashrath Singh and his family who has been doing the same in their own way for many generations now.
Villagers celebrate the festivals of holi and diwali with the same traditional opulence in presence of elders, youngers, men and women. Its a very unique destination for anyone who wants to peep into the historic and cultural values of rural India still going strong against all the odds of ever changing world.
