OverView of Dhani Lalkhan
Dhani Lal Khan was established in the year 1758. Kharbara was established in Bikaner state under Rao Bhukarka on the request of Joiya Lal Khan and Nasir Khan. Lal Khan's village, in the words of Gafoor KhanToday I left for the village Lal Khan Wali Dhani on Bhagwan Deidas's Ellenabad Road on Nohar Road. Ram Singh Sahu, CLG member of Rawatsar police station lives there. The purpose of my visit was to gather information about the Muslim community there.
There I met Abdul Ghafoor Khan, a descendant of Lal Khan Joiya, who is said to be 92 years old. He told me that his ancestors were from Kharbara area of Bahawalpur state three hundred years ago. Being cattle herders, they reached this area in Tibbi tehsil of Hanumangarh. Where the Thakur of Bhukarka was respected.
When Lal Khan and his brother Nasir Khan started living here on the orders of Thakur, Jodhpur's army attacked Bikaner fort during that period. To save the princely state, the army of this area went to Bikaner, in which Lal Khan and his brother Nasir Khan went as recruits. There, by showing their strength in the battle, Thakur of Bhukarka also got respect and in return Lal Khan was given a lease of fifteen hundred bighas of land on which no tax was levied during the princely period and the name of the village was recognized as Lal Khan Dhani. Gafoor Khan says that Thakur of Bhukarka has always respected him. When we met him, he told us about the famines that used to occur in the olden times in this area, there used to be a lot of problem of water, the water of the wells of Bhagwan Deidas was good, and they used to bring water for the cattle from there. Food was available from Talwara in the Nali area. Ninety-two year old Gafoor Khan became a little weak due to the attack of Lakua in the past years, otherwise the health was very good. Even today he reads the Qur'an without glasses. Apart from food and water, Gafur, the father of seven sons, has never had any kind of addiction. Three sons are in the forest department, two are in the railway service and two are in the agriculture sector. He told me to give him your wrist and if you can free it, then talk to him. On the difference between today and the old times, Gafur Khan says that in the past, the old people did not listen to the boys and the boys of today do not listen to the old people.
After meeting Gafur Khan, I felt as if we usually talk to each other in our homes. We talked in the same way very simply and left for some other place for tomorrow. Finally, Ram Singh Ji arranged a phone call with Gafur Khan's son who is a ranger in Bikaner in the forest department. Thanks to Ram Singh Ji as well.
