OverView of Godadiya

Godadiya village is in Waghai Taluka of Dangs District in Gujarat. The Population of the village is around 1500 and the village is populated by 99.99 percentage of tribal community. And Major three tribes are found in the village,1. Kukna(Kunbi)2. Bhil3. Varli1) Kukna : Among kunbies there are mainly, Gavit, Bagul, Borsha, Bhoye, Mahla and Gaykawads are inhabitants of the village. Kunbies are the people Groups who are owners of the agriculture lands, their occupation is Agriculture and animal husbandry . these people are mostly educated and Hardworking community, among them are some in government service also.The first Theological scholar of Dangs District Rev. Sunil Gavit belongs to this village, who has completed his Bachelor of Theology (2002)and Bachelor of Divinity (2011). This community has also given some social workers, Teachers and religious workers to the nation.2) Bhil : Among bhils are Pawar community. very few of them are having agricultural Land and therefore seasonal migration in search of employment among this community is very high. The literacy rate of these community is less. They are known for their aggressive behavior.3) Varli : Among Varlis there are Raut, Padvi etc. But in Godeadiya village there are only a few families.bThe Godadiya village is very remote, There is no transportation facilities, The nearest bus stand is at Kalibel village which is five km. the PHC,is also in Kalibel. Till date there is no prompt communication facilities, The mobile network is available only at 5-10 km distance. Even though there are so many development schemes of Government and even some NGOS are been implemented but the beneficiaries are only some influential families. Any of the government schemes do not go to the needy but mostly to those relatives and friends of the politically influenced.The village is still lacking of basic facilities such as pure drinking water, Sanitation, Drainage, Transportation, Health facilities, communication facilities etc.Even though there are so many challenges and Hardship the villagers are extremely Hardworking. And because of their hard work now their economical condition is improving. There are many other details of the village that shall be added later.
