Bhediwas is the actual name
of this village. Bhedi is clan. Initially, four families of bhedi clan and one
family of Goliya clan came in this village. So, the name of this village is
Bhediwas.
This village is very ancient and is situated along the bank of Shahibi/ Saabi river. Saabi river is a seasonal river which is there since Harappan civilization. There was varieties of vegetations along this river. Indian government made dams on this river to reduce the flow of water to prevent flood in Delhi because this river joins the Yamuna river in Delhi.
There was large vegetative diversity and forest along this river but today this river is just a desert without any vegetation.
Majority of people in this village belongs to Gurjar clan/ cast. Agriculture and farming is the source of their livelihood. This village has a primary school. Most of the people of this village are illiterate. Socially they are very backward. People of this village are indulged in primitive practices like child marriage.
Public transport facilities are not available. Only a small incomplete single road links this village to near by village. Electricity reached this village in year 2010. Many youngsters of this village have joined armed forces.
Government of Rajasthan is not putting efforts to improve the education status of this village. Government is not doing anything to revive the Shahibi/ Saabi river. Nothing has been done to preserve or revive the vegetation along saabi river. People are cutting trees and destroying the vegetation along this desertified river.
