At Bishnupur, a brick temple of Lord Vishnu was constructed by him. Currently, the Ministry of H.R.D, Government of India has given the status of historical monument and thus it has been taken under protection. This temple represents and marks the relics of the old time that has gone by. Pong King has been given a statue by Kyamba, which became a significant mark. A representation of the religious values of the people during that particular time period and the names that had originated from it has been given by this significant statue. Bijoy Govinda, Gopinath, Nityainanda, Madan Mohan, Anuprabhu and Abdeitya are the names. At Bishnupur these have been preserved now. In 1780 AD, the sculpture of Shri Shri Govindagee had been set up. Another aspect of Bishupur worth mentioning is the appealing tale concerning this putting up of the statue, which was popular during King Bheighyachandras rule. A popular belief is that, in his sleep, the king dreamt the arrival of Lord Krishna, who advised him to look for Lords image. Lord Krishnas demand was given an answer, when Govindagees statue was established. Construction of an additional six statues from the exact jackfruit tree was carried out, along the above mentioned statue.
