Kolaganahalli is the small village which consists of 200 houses and around 800 people. The meaning of Kolaganahalli is "kola" means "full of water" and "gana" means "full of arts", "halli" means "village". So
Kolaganahalli means village full of water and arts. There are two temples in this village. one is grama devatha Devamma and Hanuman temple. Early once hanuman jaldi will be celebrated by the people in kolaganahalli. Moharrum wil also be celebrated very nicely in this village.

Coming to literacy view only primary school with one teacher and 80 students. for upper primary(high school) and college students have to go Uddhehal(7kms) or Bommanahal.(12kms). No transport facility from village to other places.No government is helping for transportation and education.
